New York Jets don’t want Braylon Edwards

We’ve been hinting all along that Randy Moss will be a New York Jets next year.

Here is more proof.

Jason La Canfora of NFL Network is reporting that the Jets “won’t fight that hard” to keep WR Braylon Edwards this season.

“Edwards can be petulant, is inconsistent and has made poor decisions off the field,” La Canfora writes. “He will wow you with one moment of splendor then fall back into a bone-headed funk. I’d expect his worst traits to be exacerbated once he has that big contract.”

Yes, the Jets have repeatedly said they want to keep him and Edwards has said that he wants to stay, but that’s the extent of it.  Throw in the uncertainty of Edwards DUI and the Jets may want to re-sign Santonio Holmes and roll the dice with another receiver, either Moss or perhaps Plaxico Burress.

What is LaConfora’s story based on? Doesn’t even cite an unnamed source. Smells like more BS.

BTW, if Tannenbaum passes up a 28-year-old receiver who’s in his prime–and with whom the team has been to consecutive AFCC games–in favor of Moss or Burress, he needs to have his head examined.

    BOO.

i fuckin love braylon and would rather hold on to him then holmes because he showed this season that he is more consistent then holmes. he might not have been the one to win those last 2nd overtime games but wasnt he the reason they were able to get into the position to kick the field goal that let them beat Indianapolis plus he is a jet now Holmes is still a stealer no matter what you think one season doesnt make you a jet edwards 2 great seasons makes him more deserving then Holmes he was also there top receiver last year did you forget that
