Not yet, but it’s getting closer.
Everyone has dismissed it, from New York Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum to the sports reporters in New York and New England, but the story is gaining steam.
Randy Moss will be a New York Jet.
Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News is reporting that the Jets are legitimately interested in Moss and signing him with depend on whether the Jets retain Santonio Holmes and/or Braylon Edwards.
Frankly, if the Jets were to sign Holmes, then bringing in Moss for one season could be just what this teams need to succeed in 2011. A hopefully energized Moss, who would love to stick it to the Patriots, is a big time receiver who could help QB Mark Sanchez’ completion ratio.
