NFL Draft coninues – Top players still available

Day Two of the NFL Draft continues tonight with plenty of top talent still available.
1. Jabaal Sheard.  DE Pittsburgh.  2010 Big East Defensive Player of the Year.
2. Andy Dalton. QB TCU. Rumors were ablaze that Dalton was a Top 10 pick this year.  That hasn’t happened. Some team will be getting a potential franchise QB in the 2nd round.
3. Da’Quan Bowers. DE Clemson.  The story of the draft. Picked to go in the Top
5, Bowers has scared off basically every team because of a questionable knee. Either Bowers goes early in the 2nd round, or won’t go for a while.
4. Akeem Ayers. OLB UCLA.  The New York Jets were looking at Ayers at 30. He will go quickly in the 2nd.
5. Brooks Reed. DE Arizona. An OLB in a 3-4 scheme, the Jets loved his hustle.  Reed is a workhorse.

6. Colin Kaepernick. QB Nevada. Perfect pick for the Raiders, Bills or Redskins in the early 2nd. These teams need a QB and once Dalton is gone, Kaepernick will follow.

As for the Jets, they won’t pick again until the 30th pick in the third round (94th overall pick).  After that it’s the 4th round pick (126 overall), 5th round (161 overall), 6th round (194 overall) and 7th round (208 overall).
