Steelers Polamalu misses practice

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu missed practice on both Wednesday and Thursday, still suffering from an Achilles’ tendon injury.

Coach Mike Tomlin has said that Polamalu is expected to participate on Friday, and to play on Sunday.

Polamalu was clearly not himself last week in the Steelers victory over the Baltimore Ravens. An injured Polamalu is a huge advantage for the Jets as he can change the dynamic of the Steelers defense immensely.

As for Defensive end Aaron Smith (triceps), he participated on a limited basis, but reportedly won’t play on Sunday.
