Strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi has now been suspended indefinitely by the New York Jets due to the discovery that Alosi instructed players to form a wall along the sideline.

Initially suspended for the rest of the season, along with a $25,000 fine for tripping Miami Dolphins Nolan Carroll, the Jets extended the punishment today after speaking to players and determining that, according to Jets General Manager Mike Tannenbaum, Alosi instructed inactive players to line up next to the sideline.

“Once we got through the day Monday, it looked to me that it was unusual for them to be standing that way,” Tannenbaum said.

Tannenbaum said that the instructions came from Alosi alone, and that he did not receive them from Rex Ryan or special teams coach Mike Westhoff.
