Jets vs. Patriots, in-game update

We’re at halftime with the New England Patriots dominating the New York Jets 24-3.

This one just started out poorly.

In typical Rex Ryan fashion, the New York Jets won the coin toss and decided to kick again.  We all know Rex loves his defense, but there is a time and place for everything. And this wasn’t the time for the offense to sit and wait in the cold. Especially with Tom Brady ready to go.  Getting the ball to start the half is not going to matter tonight.

In typical Brian Schottenheimer fashion, the Jets offense sputtered out of the gate, and rather than run the ball down the Patriots throat, Schotty put QB Mark Sanchez in shotgun formation throughout the first quarter, which resulted in nothing.  You could see that Shonn Greene had some energy, it was just that Schotty had other plans.

In typical Tom Brady in December vs. the Jets fashion, he is making it look too easy.

This one is not even close.

Oh, and Nick Folk bombed another FG attempt, missing badly left.

This one started out poorly…not from where I was sitting…

I was almost embarrassed for the Jet organization, but Rex bought into his own hype, and deserved to be destroyed by his own creation. Stupid challenge, Sanchez clueless about the play clock, receivers celebrating completions, DeVito covering Woodhead…
