Last season, the New York Jets caught a break late in the season when the Indianapolis Colts (undefeated at the time) rested their main players for the Playoffs. Needing a win, the Jets took advantage of the benefit and won the game.
Will the Jets get the same luck when they visit the Pittsburgh Steelers on Dec. 19?
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting that Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger broke a metatarsal bone in his foot. The Steelers are saying that Roethlisberger doesn’t have a broken right foot but instead is healing from an aggravation of a previous injury where scar tissue is present. Allegedly, Roethlisberger injured his foot during the 19-16 overtime victory in Buffalo on Sunday.
So who’s right here?
Roethlisberger has been sporting a protective boot all week, and has been fitted with a protective game shoe.
Having not missed a snap since returning Oct. 17 from his four-game suspension, Roethlisberger said he plans to play Sunday against Baltimore.
Only time will tell if he’s healthy for when the Jets come to town.
