Texans Schaub hospitalized

Houston Texans QB Matt Schaub missed practiced on Wednesday after being hospitalized Tuesday night with a “bursa sac issue” in his knee.

Coach Gary Kubiak made the disclosure on Wednesday.

Matt spent last night in a (Methodist) hospital battling a bursa sac issue but is doing well, and I expect him to be here tomorrow,” Kubiak said. “Everything should be okay.

“We put him in the hospital to treat it, basically, and get some rest and get off of it. (We) made a decision this morning to let him stay there all day. Like I said, he should be getting back out here tomorrow.”

Dan Orlovsky played with the starters in practice today and Matt Leinart was the backup.

As for Schaub starting this weekend opponent, the New York Jets:

“Well, he’s not here today,” Kubiak said. “I’ve got to see where he’s at tomorrow, but I’m telling you I expect him here tomorrow.  If that’s the case and he’s doing what he normally does, then you’re damn right he’ll be out there.”
