Already losing Kris Jenkins for the season with a knee injury, the New York Jets did not want to add Shaun Ellis to that list. Thankfully, it looks like they won’t. An MRI exam on Ellis’ injured left knee showed no significant damage.
Ellis should be ready to play Monday night against the Minnesota Vikings.
Ellis was hurt Sunday on a third-quarter sack against the Buffalo Bills. He didn’t return to the game, saying afterward it was a sprained patellar ligament.
