Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid said Monday that starting QB Michael Vick did not break any ribs in Sunday’s loss to the Washington Redskins, but did suffer an injury to his rib cartilage.
“This is going to be one of those day-to-day, week-to-week things,” said Reid of the injury that Vick suffered late in the first quarter.
Good and bad news here for Eagles fans. Without fully going into the rib cartilage injury, we can only speculate that Vick probably hasn’t torn anything and will be evaluated towards the end of the week. With an upcoming game against the 0-4 San Francisco 49ers, look for Reid to err on the side of caution and go with Kevin Kolb.
