Revis making noise…again

Strange comments made by Darrelle Revis to Peter King of SI this weekend.

When asked by King as to whether he’ll hold out again in 2012, after earning $32.5 million in 2010 and 2011, Revis said, “that’s a great question.  If I continue to play ball like I usually do, we’ll probably be back at that same position we were this year.”  The comment left the Jets “floored,” according to Chris Mortensen of ESPN.

Approaching opening night, fresh off of missing the entire preseason and trying not to alienate yourself from your team any further, the timing of the comment was just done.  Revis simply should have told King “I’m happy we got the deal done, let’s focus on football.”  Bad timing, Darrelle.
