Meadowlands turf strikes first

New York Giants Wide Receiver Domenik Hixon, who went down Tuesday afternoon after attempting to field a punt, is done for the 2010 season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

Hixon was hurt in the first practice at the New Meadowlands Stadium moving back to field a punt. Hixon’s right foot stuck a bit in the new Field Turf playing surface.
