Revis doesn't exactly want $20 million

Shooting down rumors that Darrelle Revis and his agents have asked the Jets for $20 million, agents, Neil Schwartz and Jonathan Feinsod told the New York Post that those numbers were false.

However, it cannot be denied that Revis is likely seeking at least similar money to the $15.1 million Raiders’ cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha is making. Asomugha signed a three-year, $45.3 million deal last offseason, a contract that made him, based on average salary per year, the fourth-highest-paid player in the NFL.

Of course Revis is better than Asomugha; there is no denying that. But the deal from the Raiders was beyond maddening. It was just downright dumb.

Let’s hope this doesn’t get ugly. Revis, under contract already, seems to be sticking to the promise he claims the Jets made about giving him a new deal. If that is true, a deal better get done quickly.

What are you talking about!?! Revis is better than Nnambi???? Revis had one good season maybe 1.5 good seasons. I hope Revis gets his money but he plays corner on a great defense. Aso is the hands down best corner in the league year over year for 4 seasons. Just my two cents…

Aso plays defense on just one side of the field he will not move from that side so if the opposing team puts their best player on the other side Aso will not be covering him, unlike Revis he plays the best player on the other team regardless where he is on the field now you say Aso is the best how so if he dosnt cover the best as for 1 year Revis has improved every year since he been in.
