The Jets have signed Cowboys kicker Nick Folk to a one-year deal, perhaps signaling the end of Jay Feely’s Jets career. While the unrestricted free agent Feely has maintained that he wants to stay in New York, a new agreement has not been reached.

The Jets will tender contracts to versatile WR Brad Smith and safety Eric Smith , Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum told the team’s official Web site Monday.
Also, QB Mark Sanchez is set to have surgery today at Morristown Memorial Hospital to repair the patella ligament in his left knee. Good luck on getting an autograph.

It is being reported that QB Mark Sanchez has decided to go ahead with surgery on his left knee after visiting with Dr. James Andrews last week.
The surgery, to stabilize the patella ligament in his left knee, injured when Sanchez was at USC, will not cause Sanchez to miss any preseason time.
