Don’t get me wrong, if Jay Cutler comes to NY, I’ll be the first one in his Jersey.
I’m just saying I don’t think it’s the answer. I just don’t see the fit.
I know the Jets don’t know what they have in Clemens, Ratliff or Ainge, but I do think they should find out.
Otherwise they should look to the draft. The picks the Broncos would demand is also way too high.
The Jets already lost Pennington & a 3rd round pick for the most INT”s in the NFL last season. Though as far as ownership is concerned, he did sell a lot of seats and merchandise so money wise it was a wash.
Cutler is a nice QB for a spread offense, and will do well in Detroit with Calvin Johnson. If Detroit is smart they’ll make the deal. The Jets are not in a situation like Detroit, which by the way needs a gunslinger.
Remember the guys didn’t on the team questioned the “Favre” plays for the whole season. The team led the conference in rushing and barely ran the ball. Now with the ground game and defense, they’ll have a chance against a brutal schedule next year.
