Gang Green posts 2nd straight impressive start to the offseason!!!

AUTHOR: | IN: Jets | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

The Jets are once again going full force into free agency with their win first attitude intact. I’ll say this now… If nothing else, we can be assured that this organization is trying. The Bart Scott signing today means the Jets are serious about moving in the right direction. They are building this team to be a dominant defense. They’ve also traded for Lito Sheppard for a small price which should allow “Swipe” Lowery to move into the safety position. Of course there’s still a chance the Jets bring in Jim Leonhard to compete, but the weakness of the Jets [...]

Free Agent Friday comin’ up!!!

AUTHOR: | IN: Jets | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

For the second consecutive season, Gang Green has poised themselves for a major free agency splash. In the last few days the Jets have done a nice job clearing up room to make some major improvements on this roster. Chris Baker and Brandon Moore will likely be off to new sites unless they come back for a discount, plus Kerry Rhodes and Calvin Pace have restructured their deals to make more cap room for the upcoming season. It’s no secret that Rex Ryan would love to bring over some Ravens to the Jets roster. Bart Scott & Jim Leonhard are [...]

Ainge, Ratliff, Clemens battle might be good…

AUTHOR: | IN: Jets | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Jets have enough holes in this team to fill through the draft and free agency that the quarterback isn’t their most pressing need…despite popular belief. The Rex Ryan led Ravens were able to push through the season with Joe Flacco as their point man. The position in this league has turned into one of mistake free football, rather than a go win one for us. The team has enough talent to win with one of these guys as the point man. A healthy competition should turn out someone they can develop for the future. If not, then they will [...]

Brett the Jet… Part Deux? Plus some Draft!

AUTHOR: | IN: Jets | COMMENTS: None Yet

The rumbling out of Jets camp is a feeling that Brett Ratliff has a lot of potential. Enough so that they could focus on other needs besides QB in the early rounds of the draft. I happen to agree with this approach. Today’s NFL is won with defense, running game, and a QB that can manage a game effectively.   Whether next year’s QB is Clemens, Ratliff or possibly Ainge remains to be seen. It looks like Rex Ryan is the kind of guy that doesn’t care! That, my friends, is exactly what this franchise has needed for a long [...]

The Truth shall set you Free Woody!!!

AUTHOR: | IN: Jets | COMMENTS: None Yet

This will be a short blog, but one that needs to be said… Let’s be honest. Brett Favre did not want to come to the Jets, and the reason this decision was made so fast is he knew there was no way he was going to come back… here. The Jets need to cut their losses and officially release Favre from his contract. They need to just own up to the mistake they made and release Favre. Allow him to comeback to another team if he so chooses. Woody and Mike T. need to stop being so greedy… Let the [...]

Good for Brett!!!

AUTHOR: | IN: Jets | COMMENTS: None Yet

I know I’ve killed this deal with Favre since the rumors started flying about a year ago and I want to be clear. The transition to the Jets was not Brett’s fault… It was the Jets fault for bringing him in without an offseason program. While I know this was exciting for the fans, the guys on the team had something special to prove with Pennington at QB. Regardless, Brett gave it a shot and was smart for hanging them up. I truely feel the guy has at least another year in him (with a full offseason of training)… on [...]

Back to the Drawing Board!!

AUTHOR: | IN: Jets | COMMENTS: None Yet

Rex Ryan and his staff won’t have very long to decide which direction they want to take this team. We are only a few weeks away from the Combine. The NFL has now turned into a 12 month long league. This nice for Jets Fans because besides new coaches every couple of years, we haven’t had much to talk about this late in the year. The Jets should take a look at the Steelers and how they run their organization. I know that will be said about many teams, but it’s especially true here. To expect a coach to bring in all his guys to [...]
