Favre and Defense leads the Jets to 2-2!!!

\Everything was clicking today in Jet land!!! The defense was on point early to limit some mistakes from Gang Green! They capitalized on a couple of Cardinal turnovers which lead to a defensive TD and a short field for the O!!! We talked about the turnover battle in the Keys to this Week’s game and that’s exactly what we got! Boy did the offense capitalize!

Brett Favre finished with 289 & 6 TD’s, and only 1 pick! After an early INT which put the defense in a terrible position, Favre went on to make the right decision on virtually every other play! We also talked in the keys to the game about the misdirection, which we finally saw with Brad Smith, and the short passing game which we got as well. The WR’s and Favre looked anything but confused today as Favre found the right receiver vs. an underrated secondary! This was the confidence boost these guys needed going into the break. They now have 3 games coming up which they will certainly be the favorite!

We once again saw how important Kris Jenkins was to this defense. He occupied 2-3 guys on every possession! If he can stay healthy he will be in the Pro Bowl discussions at the end of the year!!!

Kudos to Brian Schottenheimer and Brett Favre for recognizing the heavy fronts that Arizona was bringing all game. They picked up on the Wisenhunt/Pittsburgh influence on that defense and they certainly took advantage. This will be a huge confidence boost for Favre and his WR’s going forward.

They need to continue to take what these defenses give them! More importantly, they need to continue to make plays defensively! All around great effort… what a nice feeling going into the bye!

I have to give it to the Jets yesterday they played a great game on offense and a so-so game over defense.  Don’t forget they did give up 35 pts to the Cardinals.  But you forgot to mention the most talked about play.  The cheap helmet to helmet hit that Erik Smith nailed Anquan Boldin with in the last minute of the game.  I think it’s great the NFL fined and better yet suspended him for that cheap shot.  Shows the type of class the Jets had on Sunday.

Class? Wait a minute, this comes from the Patriots? Seriously? Cheating ring a bell? Not to mention, I’m pretty sure Rodney Harrison will still get more votes than Smith for Dirtiest player in the league. Just because your team got caught forgeing a dynasty, don’t get mad at our underdog Jets who will be America’s favorite when they take your A$$hole coach. He should’ve learned integrity from watching his father coach at the academy! He must of heard…good things come to those who cheat!

And yes, the defense did a terrible job of grabbing Cardinal turnovers!
