Here's what has worried me since day 1, we get Farve and my instint is telling me that Pennington will make his way to Minnesota and win a SuperBowl with them and we will once again be the laughing stock of the league. Pennington has been a great guy and a great teammate and leader WHEN HEALTHY... He was the comeback player of the year just two years ago... give 'em a chance brotha's!!! We can do this!!! Jets baby!!!

JETS SIGNED GHOLSTON... NO HOLDOUT!!! VERY NICE...

Besides that guys, I gotta say I don't like the Farve idea. Packer fans have been pulling their hair out for the last 5 years with all the mistakes he's made... He draws a crowd and maybe that's good going into a new stadium, but I really believe we need a game manager so that we can rely on this new strategy of running the ball and playing defense. I think the organization would be making a Big mistake by bringing in Brett Farve... He's a hall of famer, for the Packers, but right now he's better off somewhere he can just let it fly, like Green Bay, not New York. It just doesn't feel right to me. Plus I just don't see the Wrangler man headed to Jersey, to face the Pats twice this year, do you?

To be honest, I"m not sure Brett Farve is the right fit for this offense. They've spent the offseason building to become a team that runs the ball and plays defense. Bringing in any gunslinger like Brett Farve is definitely counterproductive to the philosophy their trying to establish. Don't get me wrong, Brett Farve is a definite upgrade, but don't forget that Pennington has been to the playoffs and was a Doug F*IN Brien Field Goal away from doing some serious playoff damage. He's one of the most accurate passers in NFL History (granted he only throws within 25 yards), and he know Brian S.'s system inside and out. Farve's a country bumkin that's been in the west coast offense forever. I'm not sure he'd work in a conservative approach in the biggest market in the country. Believe me, if they get him, I'll be wearing #4 in week 1... But I've watched Farve his whole career and for every game he wins, there seems like there's 2 he loses (At least the last 5 years). But who knows, I just wish the Jets wouldn't have been drafting right behind the Falcons when they originally drafted Farve and we got...Browning Nagle. You definitely have a solid argument, but my gut feeling says Farve is gonna be a distraction wherever he goes.

I am on board! I agree that Mangini and the boys are definitely being very secretive intentionally. Favre to the Jets is beyond a possibility to me and I think once someone looks into the facts... it's not hard to see why the Jets would pull off a move like this one.

Great write up. Starting to sway me whether this season ticket holder now, too, wants him here.
